Grupo Carinsa obtains the PASSION Prize for innovative productadmin
The Catalan multinational has been recognized by the cluster AINS (Innovative Business Association Nutrició i Salut) in the category “Innovative Project / Product in Nutrition and Health”, within the II edition of the PASIÓN Awards.
For the second year in a row, last Thursday, October 20, the PASIÓN Awards (acronym for Healthy Food and Innovation Product) were presented during the 3rd Seminar on Strategic Immersion and Networking organized by the AINS Nutrició i Salut cluster, which took place In the Foyer Marià Fortuny of the Fira REUS Building. At the same time, Grupo CARINSA was shared with the PASIÓN Prize for the “Innovative Nutrition and Health Product / Project”, which was picked up by Mr. David Ventura, commercial director of the company, who was accompanied by Mrs. Evangelina Campos, coordinator of the Group’s Project Management department. The jury, which was made up of a representative of ACCIÓ (Agency for Competitiveness of the Company attached to the Department of Enterprise and Coneixement of the Generalitat de Catalunya), a representative of the URV (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) and a representative of the BCN ACCELERATOR (community of experts in business acceleration), failed positively for the project presented by the CARINSA Group called “Design and development of an animal fat substitute in sausages”. Said project is based on the application in sausages of an innovative ingredient such as fat analogue, which entails a decrease of around 50% of calories and 85% of saturated fats in the food, making it healthier And appropriate, according to the global concern for the prevention of known chronic noncommunicable diseases. Likewise, in order to be able to communicate effectively the benefits of this innovation to those present, the R & D technician from the CARINSA Mercedes Villalobos Group participated actively in the Innovation Window organized during the Conference.
