The CARINSA Group, as part of its commitment to Research and Innovation, participates in two new research projects within the 2014 Challenges-Collaboration Program of the State Program for Research, Development and Innovation aimed at the Challenges of Society, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016.

The Perfumery Division of the CARINSA GROUP and in collaboration with the Institute of Materials Sciences of Barcelona (ICMB), center attached to CSIC, participate in the QUATFORGRAG project: Application of Quatsome technology for the development of a new range of perfumed softeners ( RTC-2014-2183-5). This innovative technology, based on compressed fluids, will allow to encapsulate the fragrances destined to the formulation of different types of detergents that will provide the capacity to control the release of the same at the time of the application. In addition, the use of these structures, being structures without danger or toxicity, eliminates the risks to health and the environment.

The Food Division, in collaboration with other food companies and technology centers such as CERPTA-UAB and AZTI Foundation, will work on the UHPH4FOOD project: Development of a new generation of UHPH equipment for the sterilization of liquid foods (RTC-2014 -3157-2). In this project, CARINSA will participate in the development of new prototypes of liquid foods sterilized by UHPH, which will allow validating the new technology developed and bring it to the market. The development of this new technology will make it possible to obtain safer and healthier foods by avoiding the use of heat in sterilization processes.
